Did you know that 1.5 million teenagers and children in Australia are classified as obese or overweight? It is an alarming statistic; however we can do more to motivate our youth to eat more fruit and vegetables. The Gutsy Challenge is an annual challenge that asks young people to eat fruit and vegetables to raise money for Gastro-Intestinal (GI) cancer research. Last year Milikapiti School on Melville Island took part in this fantastic initiative! It would be great to get more young people and schools involved this year. The challenge runs from March through to 30 November 2012.

It’s easy to take part. Participants simply visit the Gutsy Challenge website and sign up!
