Optus Connecting Communities Grants Program
Optus provides grants of $1,000 to $5,000 to assist projects aimed at building social inclusion and supporting disengaged youth. 2011 will be the fourth year we have run the grants program.
Anna Wearne Memorial Trust Grants
The Anna Wearne Memorial Trust provides grants of $50 to $1,000 to create opportunities for young people to reach their potential, where such potential is hampered due to disadvantage or inequality.
Public Awareness Program
Through The Public Awareness Program (PAP), the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, funds initiatives that raise public awareness in the wider community of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and culture.
The McGrath Foundation Grants
The McGrath Foundation provide funding for breast care nurses primarily in rural and regional areas of Australia.
Matana Foundation for Young People Grant Program
The Matana Foundation for Young People provides grants of $1,000 to $10,000 to organisations that share the Foundation’s common purpose and vision to assist disadvantaged young people to benefit from and contribute to the common good and provide a vehicle which nurtures self worth.
Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA)
The Dept of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations provides funding of up to $1500 to assist some young people who are making the transition from formal and informal care to independent living.
Register of Cultural Organisations
The Deparment of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts assists qualifying cultural bodies to attract support by enabling them to offer donors the incentive of a tax deduction.
Dance Grants Program
The Australia Council provides funding to assist the development and advancement of dance in Australia.
Community Partnerships Grants Program
The Australia Council supports community arts and cultural development through the community partnerships section.
Telstra’s Disability Equipment Program
Telstra provides eligible customers with specialised equipment to access the standard telephone service.
Visual Arts Grants Program
The Australia Council provides grants to individual artists, support to contemporary art organisations, funding for national and international exhibitions and events, market and audience development initiatives and strategic initiatives to build capacity across the sector.
Financial Assistance for Flooding and Severe Weather Events November - February 2011
The Australian Government is reimburses eligible relief and recovery costs to States and Territories. The NDRRA Determination 2007 outlines what costs are reimbursable to States and Territories.
NT Companion Card Scheme
The Northern Territory Government provides the NT Companion Card Scheme to enable people with disability who require lifelong attendant care support from a companion to participate in identified activities without incurring the cost of a second ticket for their companion.
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Arts
The Australia Council supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts organisations to advance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts in Australia.
Festivals Australia
The Department of the Prime Minister & Cabinet, Office for the Arts, provides funds for Australian regional and community festivals to assist them to present quality cultural projects. Assistance is provided on a case by case basis with no commitment to ongoing funding. There is no maximum grant amount however grants over $12,000 will need to provide additional information. Applications close 15 July 2011.
Hurry! NAB Schools First Student Award Applications Close This Friday!
The Student Award is the latest addition to the successful NAB Schools First program. The new award recognises and rewards student led school-community partnership ideas. There are five student awards available with each winning application receiving $2,000 to help implement their school-community partnership idea, mentoring opportunities, support from the NAB Schools First team and an Apple iPad for the winning student.
CDEP Work Experience Subsidy (CWES)
Dept of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to provide wage subsidies to employers who offer paid work experience to new Community Development Employment Projects participants (on income support).
The McGrath Foundation Grants
The McGrath Foundation provides funding for breast care nurses primarily in rural and regional areas of Australia. The McGrath Foundation provides funding for McGrath Breast Care Nurses nationally, with particular emphasis on rural and regional areas across the country. Each McGrath Breast Care Nurse is funded for a minimum of three years.
Reconnecting People Assistance Package
The Deparment of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Provides funding to help Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents who have been adversely affected as a direct result of their inappropriate immigration detention under the Migration Act 1958 within Australia.
Crime Victims Financial Assistance
The Department of Justice (NT) provides financial assistance to victims of crime in certain circumstances.
