Youth Homelessness Matters Day 2012
On any given night in Australia 105,000 people are homeless and nearly half of these are under the age of 25. Youth Homelessness Matters Day aims to raise public awareness about youth homelessness and celebrate the resilience of young people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness in Australia.
Young Women Festival Working Group
The next meeting of the Young Women Festival Working Group is on at 4pm Tuesday 12 April 2011 at Anglicare Ludmilla office. It is important that we involve young women in the organisation of the festival / event, so please also bring them along.
DASSAN Meetings
Meetings are a chance to catch up with other people involved in Dassan, but there are many other ways to be involved too. Dassan members visit people in detention, write letters to people in detention, write letters to media and politicians, spread information, advocate for individuals and on asylum issues in general, organise public events and much more. We also link up with advocacy groups in other states and are a contact point for people interstate who wish to donate goods or offer support. There are many things to do around this issue - if you are interested in getting involved or have ideas for action please let us know!
