Community Engagement: What does it take for you to get involved?
There are over 3.7 million young people in Australia; this is a pretty big reason why young people should have their say on policy and programs that will impact them now and in the future.
The AYF would like to hear what you think about the best ways to engage young people in decision-making and becoming active in the community.
You might like to tell us:
• How young people can be encouraged to join the big conversations about government policy and programs
• What the do’s and don’ts are for government when seeking the opinions of young people
• Examples of successful youth engagement in the community.
Your ideas will be collected and used to inform the Australian Youth Forum’s session at the Community Engagement conference being held in Melbourne on 14-15 February 2012. The discussion will be hosted by an AYF Steering Committee Member.
Join the discussion and/or share your thoughts on community engagement by completing a short online survey.
The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete, is confidential and closes Thursday 2 February, 2012.
