Go Fair: Toys and Educational Resources for Children in Detention
Just letting everyone know there are more toys for the children in detention thanks to Go Fair.
Thank you to Go Fair for their generous donation of lovely toys and educational resources for the children at the Asti and the Lodge here in Darwin.
We hope that the resources previously gathered for the playgroups will be back in use soon and CDU Early Childhood staff hope to facilitate some of these family playgroups as we did back in October / November 2010.
DIAC and SERCO have met with us and taken the Go Fair donations boxed by CDU to deliver to the families at the Asti and the Lodge.
Let’s hope that soon these children will be able to take these toys to safe family homes and not a place of detention!
