Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into Youth Suicides
On Monday 30 January 2012, Tylee Wirth from the Youth Minister’s Round Table participated in the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into Youth Suicides as the Katherine representative.
She would like to encourage everyone who is in the Katherine region to consider attending the Katherine Public Hearing on the inquiry which will be held on Monday 6 February from 1 – 4 pm in the Katherine Town Council Chambers. People are welcome to come and go anytime during this period.
As a YMRT representative, Tylee is particularly keen to address:
- what is required in the way of services
- what makes a service youth friendly
- youth perspective
- what do young people think the Government should do about the issue, suggestions?
Attached is some information in relation to the inquiry. Tylee is keen to hear from anyone who has professional or personal experiences, suggestions etc. Please feel free to use Tylee’s position as a representative to facilitate information on this very sensitive, but important issue.
